Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) to forecast material, labor, and equipment expenses.
• Tendering & Procurement: Draft tender documents, analyze bid submissions from contractors, and negotiate terms to secure the best value.
• Financial Management: Monitor project budgets in real-time, track design variations, and prepare monthly progress reports to prevent budget overruns.
• Contract Administration: Manage NEC, JCT, or FIDIC contracts, handle payment applications, and resolve commercial disputes.
• Strategic Advice: Provide expertise on value engineering (cost-saving alternatives), risk management, and lifecycle costing.
• Final Account Settlement: Reconcile actual costs versus estimates at the end of a project to settle all financial obligations.
