Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Fit-Outs

Job Purpose:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of fit-out projects, from initial estimation and tendering to final accounts. The role ensures that project costs are controlled, contractual obligations are met, and value is delivered to both the company and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for fit-out and interior design projects.

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to provide accurate pricing.

• Evaluate tender documents, prepare cost comparisons, and submit competitive proposals.

• Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.

• Prepare and process variations, claims, and final accounts.

• Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.

• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations, contracts, and agreements.

• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.

• Assist in contract administration and maintain proper documentation for claims and payments.

• Provide regular financial reports to management on project progress and cost status.

• Support project managers in decision-making through accurate cost data and forecasts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in fit-out and interior works.

• Strong knowledge of construction/fit-out methods, materials, and industry standards.

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with UAE construction laws, and market rates is an advantage.
