We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to manage all aspects of the construction cost management process. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for cost planning, estimating, cost reporting, and cost control. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of construction processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage budgets for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to optimize costs.
  • Monitor costs during the project lifecycle and report on any variances.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for construction projects.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to obtain the best results.
  • Manage and track changes to the work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  • Prepare and analyze project cost reports and suggest cost-saving strategies.
  • Provide timely advice and guidance on construction cost issues to stakeholders.
  • Oversee contract administration, including tender analysis and documentation.
  • Forecast final project costs and assist in settlement of final accounts.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in construction costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials cost estimation.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard cost management software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in cost reporting.
  • Strong communication abilities to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
