As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects. Your primary focus will be on contract management, cost estimation, and ensuring that all projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the costs associated with construction projects and will work closely with contractors, architects, and engineers. Your analytical and detail-oriented mindset will be essential in preparing comprehensive project costings and managing budgets effectively. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize financial risks.
• Negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Monitor project costs continually throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contract administration including preparing payment applications.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to provide clear updates on financial status.
• Perform cost analysis and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Review construction plans to ensure budget alignment and consistency.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
• Participate in post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
• Proficient with cost management and estimating software tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
