Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Quantity Surveyor (03N25) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, contributing to the financial management and oversight of construction projects. This role involves providing support during all stages of the construction lifecycle, from initiation through to completion. A Quantity Surveyor plays a critical role ensuring that projects are completed within budget, while also meeting high-quality standards. You will use your analytical skills and attention to detail to assess costs and ensure that resources are used efficiently. Communication is also key, as you will liaise with different stakeholders including clients, contractors, and suppliers to secure the best prices and optimize project expenditure.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for construction projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring costs are controlled effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and prices.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to plans.
  • Review project specifications and designs to provide accurate cost advice.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage contract administration, including preparation of claims and variations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout projects.
  • Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
  • Coordinate with project managers to forecast future project costs accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of project financials and contractual agreements.
  • Support project risk management activities to minimize potential financial impacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to manage contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Proficiency in software such as CAD and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration purposes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, laws, and regulations essential.
