The Quality Inspector in Automotive Service (position 12D25) plays an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in automotive manufacturing and servicing environments. Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of automotive parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Document and report findings from inspections and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain inspection procedures and protocols to enhance quality control.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to conduct quality assessments.
  • Monitor and verify key performance indicators related to product quality and process efficiency.
  • Participate in quality audits to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques to ensure uniform understanding.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure thorough understanding during inspections.
  • Maintain clear communication with management on quality control status and improvements.
  • Assist in the root cause analysis for defects and non-conformities detected in processes.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures relating to quality assurance and control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and guidelines in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools, like calipers and micrometers, for precise evaluations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability to identify subtle defects or discrepancies.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Solid analytical skills for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours or shifts as needed to meet production demands.
