Job Description

The Quality Control & Assurance Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and process integrity within an organization. This position involves monitoring and evaluating manufacturing processes, ensuring that product specifications are adhered to, and that corrective actions are implemented when necessary. The officer works closely with production teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure adherence to defined quality standards while continuously striving to improve them. Their goal is to minimize quality issues and deliver products that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with different departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and efficiency in quality management systems.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of quality control systems and documentation.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement in product quality and process effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with production teams to correct any quality-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, identifying trends, and making recommendations.
  • Facilitate training sessions on quality control and assurance methods for staff.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that quality standards are met for incoming materials.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance documentation and perform document control functions.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance product standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve quality concerns and improve satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in quality assurance, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools for data analysis.
  • Certification in quality management systems or relevant quality standards is a plus.
