Key Responsibilities/Duties

The duties of the QA/QC Manager shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:

• Conduct and/or participate in company quality or technical compliance audits for contractor,sub-contractoror vendors.
• Review the contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures andadvisethe Project Manager of any deficiency.
• Review QA/QC site organization, key personnel CVs as submittedby the contractors and advice the project manager of his comments.
• Review QA/QC procedures and document control as submittedby the contractors and ensure implementationis in compliance withagreement requirements.
• Review Inspection, test plans as submittedby the contractors and ensures compliance with agreement requirements.
• Attend all activities on site and ensure their compliance with QA/QC procedure in respect of the format signed off by contractors QA/QC Manager.
• Ensure traceability of all materials and equipment from purchasingand up to delivery on site.
• Check all materials and equipment as delivered on site and ensure its compliance with approved materials and specification.
• Closely monitorsite activities, fully coordinate with PMC discipline engineers,on a daily basisissuingNCRsin case of non-compliance and reporting to Project Manager in case of shortage of skilled labourers and/or site supervision staff.
• Participate with PMC staff in assessing concession requests and field Design Changes as submittedby contractor.
• Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the Close Out Report as submittedby contractors.
• Coordinate with all disciplines/contractor’sfor QA/QC.
  
  

Candidate Specification

• Bachelors’ degree in engineering or higher degree.
• A qualified engineer with significant years experience in QA/QC works in similar projects.
• The candidate should be an IRCA registered lead auditor and shall be aware of all ISO 9000 series requirements.
