Job Description

The QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Coordinator in Logistics is a pivotal role that ensures the seamless integration and maintenance of health and safety protocols, environmental standards, and quality assurance processes within logistics operations. This role is instrumental in strategizing and implementing comprehensive risk management tactics while working in tandem with logistics teams to enhance operational excellence. As a QHSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the logistics department, ensuring that all processes align with both regional and international standards. This entails conducting regular audits, training sessions, and reviews to continually improve the logistics framework. You will also act as a liaison between regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to address and preempt potential quality and safety concerns, keeping the logistics chain running smoothly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures, and manuals for logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments to align logistics activities with QHSE policies.
  • Facilitate training programs regarding safety and quality assurance for logistics staff.
  • Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics across logistics functions.
  • Review and analyze safety data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure logistics operations adhere to environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Act as the primary contact for incidents involving quality, safety, or environmental concerns.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop emergency response plans and ensure readiness of logistics teams.
  • Maintain documentation related to QHSE activities and compliance in logistics.
  • Evaluate new logistic processes or technologies for potential QHSE impacts and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a QHSE role within logistics or supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international QHSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Proven ability to lead training sessions and workshops on QHSE topics.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment techniques and emergency response planning in logistics.
