- Verify that the latest approved drawings and applicable inspection requirements are available and being used at the point of assembly and testing.
- Perform visual and dimensional checks during assembly of pump packages and rotating equipment; verify tag numbers, mounting, alignment witness points, mechanical completeness, cleanliness, preservation, and general workmanship.
- Coordinate NDE-related inspection points as applicable, review results for acceptance, and ensure repaired/reworked items are re-inspected before release.
- Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak, flushing, functional, performance, and FAT activities as applicable; record inspection results and punch items.
- Identify, tag, segregate, and report nonconforming material or workmanship; verify correction and re-inspection before acceptance.

- Maintain essential QC records such as receiving inspection reports, assembly/test reports, release notes, and vendor inspection reports; travel to vendor/supplier/fabricator locations for source inspection when required.
- Co-ordinate with document controller to make sure all documents are being captured correctly.
- Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of assigned incoming, assembly, testing, vendor, and final inspection activities within the approved scope.
- Accountable for ensuring that only conforming materials, assemblies, and tested packages proceed to the next operation or shipment stage.
- Accountable for maintaining clear inspection status, traceability, essential QC records, and timely escalation of nonconforming items or release concerns.
