Position Overview

We are seeking an outstanding PYP/MYP Innovation Teacher to join our exceptional team from January 2027. The successful candidate will be passionate about inquiry-led learning, committed to academic excellence and eager to contribute to the continued success of our thriving IB community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking and a lifelong love of learning.
• Create an inclusive, internationally minded learning environment, differentiating instruction and using assessment data to support student progress and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, share best practice and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and the wider school community, supporting student wellbeing and contributing to co-curricular and enrichment opportunities.
• Uphold the values of GEMS Education and the IB Learner Profile, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and the wider life of the Academy.
  
  

Skills Description

Successful Candidate

• Hold a Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree together with a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of three years' experience teaching Primary or Middle Years Innovation, ideally within an IB curriculum (IB experience preferred but not essential).
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the IB PYP/MYP framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Be committed to continually developing your practice and delivering outstanding learning experiences.
• Bring the experience, personality and educational philosophy that align with a leading IB World School.
• Be available to join us in January 2027.
