Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist assists the Director of Purchasing and Project Management with activities pertaining to the purchase and distribution of equipment, vehicles/vehicle parts, machinery, furniture, fuel, lubricants, supplies, and services. Assists with other administrative duties when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate Degree in Business Administration or Project Management, or related field preferred
• 2 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or transit operations preferred
• Experience with publicsector procurement and federally funded projects preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass a criminal background check. Must receive a negative result from a nonDOT preemployment drug screen.
• Occasional travel to other PDRTA offices, local/overnight outoftown travel is required.

Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
