Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement efforts. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement team, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while optimizing costs and maintaining supplier relationships. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management.


  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and performance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes effectively.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support.
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop the skills of team members.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational needs.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and excess stock.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper stock levels.
  • Analyze procurement costs and trends to identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on procurement KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and procurement policies.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
  • Implement ethical sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and workflows.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Evaluate and recommend procurement software and tools.


  • Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager, Agent or Officer
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Working experience of vendor management software
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
