Job Description
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the purchasing process for industrial equipment. They negotiate with suppliers, oversee procurement activities, and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess equipment needs.
- Review purchase requisitions and approve purchases within budget.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Monitor industry trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve supply chain issues and address any delivery delays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and related technical specifications.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
