Job Description

Job Purpose

To monitor and expedite purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers and internal departments, and ensure the timely delivery of materials and services in accordance with agreed specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding order status, production progress, shipment schedules, and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to align material availability with operational requirements.
  • Identify potential delivery delays and proactively escalate issues to avoid supply disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements, delivery updates, and supplier communications.
  • Verify order confirmations and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms, specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules.
  • Support supplier performance evaluations by maintaining delivery tracking records and preparing performance reports.
  • Update Infor with real-time purchase order status, delivery information, and relevant documentation.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies related to material quantity, quality, specifications, documentation, or delivery timelines.
  • Prepare expediting reports and provide regular order-status updates to the reporting manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to improve communication and responsiveness.
  • Provide sourcing support to procurement executives by identifying and coordinating with suitable local-market suppliers.
  • Visit supplier facilities when required to verify job progress, inspect order status, and ensure adherence to agreed timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification in procurement or supply chain management will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in purchase expediting, procurement, supply chain, or vendor coordination.
  • Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environment is preferred.
  • Experience using Infor or a similar ERP system will be an advantage.

Mandatory Requirement

  • Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory, as the role requires regular supplier visits and local market coordination.
