Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Purchase Coordinator to join our thriving organization. The Purchase Coordinator is a pivotal role that supports the procurement team by handling essential purchasing operations. As a Purchase Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining purchase order records, ensuring timely delivery of products, and liaising with vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute purchase transactions to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm purchase order details.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze purchase data to produce insightful reports for management review.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and pricing to achieve cost savings for the company.
  • Work collaboratively with the inventory team to anticipate product demand.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery details, and vendor information.
  • Resolve discrepancies in delivery and invoicing promptly and professionally.
  • Identify potential new suppliers and perform supplier evaluations as necessary.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay abreast of industry trends and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all purchase activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing procedures, terms, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills essential for vendor relationship management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software is highly desirable.
