Job Description

As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional service delivery at the front desk of our establishment. You will assist in managing the front office team, maintaining a high standard of guest service, and ensuring efficient operations within the department. Your leadership skills will be fundamental in mentoring and monitoring staff, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving any guest service issues promptly and effectively. A strong understanding of hotel management procedures and a dedication to guest satisfaction are crucial in this role. You will work closely with other departments to enhance service levels and aim to create an outstanding guest experience at all times.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and supervising daily front office operations and staff.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest service and handle guest complaints effectively.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing scheduling and training employees.
  • Monitor and maintain high operational standards within all front office areas.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure readiness and cleanliness of rooms.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to foster teamwork and address issues.
  • Uphold and achieve the hotel’s service excellence expectations consistently.
  • Assist in managing financial tasks, including cash handling and billing corrections.
  • Update the property management system with guest information and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at the front desk.
  • Review and implement operational policies and procedures as directed.
  • Act as a point of contact for emergencies, providing guidance and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front office supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints tactfully.
