About The Job
As a Project Manager you will manage the execution of projects in accordance to the contract with Trelleborg Clients after handing over process from the sale’s responsible person. You will develop, prioritize and submit project plans, budgets and methodologies across a range of key projects. You will be primary in the negotiation of supplier contracts with an optimum mix of price and quality. Additionally you will coordinate multi-discipline activities and inputs throughout the full procurement cycle, from the development of an enquiry, to receipt and process of the contract, their subsequent implementations, amendments, proposals and additions.
About Your Responsibilities
- Research vendor/supplier capabilities; identify a pool of candidate vendors/suppliers for project consideration
- Establish and maintain long-term working relationships or partnerships between the company and selected suppliers/vendors & clients
- Leading the negotiation of supplier contracts with an optimum mix of price and quality
- Oversee/liaise with the Contracts Administrator in the assessment of supplier quotations in order to meet requirements within Cost & Build
- Conduct the supplier contract negotiations at the appropriate management level
- Responsible for supplier contract terms, pricing and payment schedule, ensuring that the most commercially advantageous agreements
- Preparing purchase orders, invoices and shipping documents, preparation of quality documents
- Intervene, analyze, manage and resolve business conflicts between the company and the vendors/ suppliers
- Create and execute contracts work plans/milestones and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
- Coordinate with other departments the process of the contract, their subsequent implementations, amendments, proposals and additions.
- Liaise finance department with the project development and forecast the invoicing plan.
- An internal/external correspondent for all contract related information, i.e. Negotiation, tender, contractual, commercial, manufacturing, Inspection through to dispatch
- Follow the execution of the contracts, advise on the interpretation of the contract terms and conditions, participate in meetings with contractors and third parties, discussing areas of conflict and progress.
- Preparing amendments, additions, side letters and internal/external documentation
- Set and manage client expectations and report the project phasing and milestones
- Communicate with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions towards the development of lasting relationships
- Facilitate effective team and client meetings
- Review and provide advice on the letter of credit terms and condition which will support the project execution
What You Bring
- Engineering Degree with minimum 3 to 4 years experience in Procurement / Project /Contract Management
- PMP certificate is a plus, MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 4 to 7 years’ experience in project/contract management
- Managing 2 or more as direct reports
- Comfort with circa 30% travel
- Europe client visits as per the project require
- Asia and USA whenever FAT or project kickoff meetings required
