Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through close-out. The role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and company requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling and resource allocation for commercial construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost-control measures; report on financial performance.
  • Coordinate design review, procurement and subcontractor selection to align scope, schedule and budget.
  • Oversee onsite construction activities, supervise contractors and ensure work meets quality and specification standards.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies; conduct regular site inspections and safety briefings.
  • Manage contractual relationships, change orders and claims; negotiate with clients, vendors and subcontractors as needed.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; maintain change control and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, meeting minutes and project documentation to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, optimizing processes and supporting value engineering.
  • Lead project close-out activities, including commissioning, handover documentation and final client acceptance.

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, permitting and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar) and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting, cost-control and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, procurement processes and contract negotiations.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30) and a strong commitment to onsite safety practices.
