As a Senior Project Manager at Tactical, you are the lead delivery owner for an entire client portfolio — responsible for the successful execution of all projects across all accounts within that portfolio. You oversee and manage the delivery team (including mid-level and junior PMs), ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to brief, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and communication.
You personally lead the most complex, strategic, and cross-functional projects in the portfolio, while guiding and coaching other PMs in the delivery of simpler, repeatable, or smaller-scale work. You are accountable for setting the right delivery approach, reviewing scopes, proactively mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with the Client Partner and creative leads.
You take a program-level view — balancing day-to-day project execution with long-term portfolio efficiency, profitability, and team wellbeing. You act as a strategic delivery partner to your CP, flagging challenges early, helping manage client expectations, and continuously optimising how work is delivered across the board.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio Delivery & Project Ownership
Lead large-scale, cross-discipline projects (creative, video, digital, AR, etc.)
Scope projects and define delivery approaches across multi-market or long-term engagements
Oversee project timelines, budgets, scoping, and resourcing for multiple concurrent workstreams and for all projects running within the portfolio
Ensure clear specifications and alignment across teams from kickoff to post-launch
Be the go-to person for your Client Partner and PM Lead on all delivery matters for all projects within the portfolio
Client Leadership & Escalation Handling
Serve as the senior delivery partner for the CP of your portfolio
Support the CP in periodic planning and portfolio reviews
Confidently manage client expectations, timelines, and potential risks for the projects and programs we run for the clients in the portfolio
Resolve escalations with professionalism and foresight and in close cooperation with the Client Partner
Collaborate closely with Client Partner to align delivery with broader business goals
Represent delivery in high-stakes meetings, confidently managing expectations
Levelling incoming work to optimise workload for the team.
Commercial & Strategic Oversight
Own and optimise budgets across all the projects in your portfolio
Forecast resource and revenue needs in collaboration with CPs and Ops
Monitor commercial performance and raise out-of-scope opportunities proactively
Contribute to accurate project reconciliation and long-term portfolio planning
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level PMs
Review and approve scopes, timelines, and budget documents
Check accuracy of data in Productive for the entire portfolio.
Champion knowledge sharing and lead retrospectives to embed continuous improvement
Process Improvement & Operational Strategy
Identify operational gaps and propose solutions that scale
Lead internal initiatives to evolve PM practices and documentation
Drive consistent use of SOPs, templates, and briefing frameworks
Help Tactical scale through repeatable, effective, and well-communicated processes
What You’ll Bring
6–8+ years of experience in project and delivery management in a creative, digital, or production environment
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stream projects across teams and geographies
Expert communicator with experience handling high-level clients and internal stakeholders
Commercially astute, with a track record of managing budgets and profitability
Calm under pressure with exceptional problem-solving and risk management instincts
Skilled in agency tooling, like: Productive, Google Suite, Notion, Slack (or similar)
