The Project Manager - IT is responsible for overseeing and managing technology-focused projects within an organization. This role involves coordinating with various teams, setting project goals and deadlines, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The Project Manager in IT plays a critical role in bridging the gap between the technical and business teams, providing leadership in the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. This position requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of IT systems and infrastructures. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to define project scopes, allocate resources, and mitigate risks that may impact project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide and measure project progress.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget constraints.
• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Leverage IT methodologies and practices to improve project efficiencies and resolve any issues.
• Regularly report project status to management and stakeholders including project updates and challenges.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders and team members.
• Conduct risk management to identify project risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Oversee all project closure activities to ensure a smooth transition to operational support.
• Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Utilize industry-standard project management tools and software to track and report on project progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven working experience as an IT Project Manager for at least 3 years.
• Solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams through complex and challenging projects.
• Experience with Agile methodologies or Scrum will be considered an advantage.
