Job Description

The Project Manager II for Fitout 24J25 plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing interior fit-out projects from inception to completion. This position involves working closely with clients, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager II is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and handover. With a focus on interior spaces, the role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of design principles, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is adept at problem-solving, and has a proven track record in managing complex projects successfully.


Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions, coordinating with clients and stakeholders to establish scope.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and cost estimates to guide project activities.
  • Manage the procurement process, liaising with suppliers and contractors for timely deliveries.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between design, construction, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee risk management strategies, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders for reference.
  • Present regular updates to clients and stakeholders, highlighting progress and addressing concerns.
  • Coordinate the handover process, ensuring that all project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance project efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Support the development of junior project team members through mentoring and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within the fitout industry.
  • Proven track record in managing interior fit-out projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for efficient project tracking.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards essential.
