Job Description

  • Responsible for implementing best practice project management processes, templates, and materials within the VSM PMO department. This includes staying updated on the latest PMP standards and sharing this knowledge with project team members and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution
  • Responsible for leading multiple business project teams following VSM PMO Project Governance Standards, ensuring project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. This includes managing projects directly, providing guidance, or contributing as a team member to achieve successful outcomes
  • Provides comprehensive project management by developing work plans, coordinating resources, guiding teams, ensuring quality through peer reviews, applying VSM PMO standards, minimizing risks, and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Responsible for guiding the team to enhance their Project Management skills in accordance with VSM PMO standards. This includes designing and implementing training programs to support business growth and developing tailored development plans for individual team members in collaboration with the VSM PMO
  • Support the department managers with the development of project business cases leveraging the VSM PMO standard formats and ensuring accurate input from respective departments (i.e. commercial, finance, as well as managers and project owners)
  • Responsible for implementing the Project Portfolio Management Tool within the department/division, establishing it as the main platform for project planning and execution. This includes coaching team members on tool updates and delivering monthly Executive Summaries to management
  • Manage projects in conjunction with VSM management, Finance Department, and Project’s Sponsors to always be able track committed spend against each project, and be able to provide monthly reports to the departments Leadership Team and project managers
  • Build up a forward view of possible projects that are aligned with the departments business objectives and use a prioritization process with the departments Leadership Team to rank them in order of importance in order to decide when and how to do the projects
  • Acquire fundamental change management skills within your personal development plan to ensure that projects address not only technical goals but also the human factors involved. This approach helps facilitate smoother implementation by managing the people side of change effectively
  • The role involves implementing and managing the attendance management process, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. It includes reviewing and improving the process as needed, and regularly providing management with updates and relevant attendance statistics

Formal Education

  • Bachelors in international Affairs, Humanities, and Social Sciences, & General Administration

Work Experience And Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Possess a degree complemented by certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Have relevant experience engaging professionally with staff at all levels within formal project environments, including reporting for detailed and executive-level projects
  • Proficient in process mapping using Visio, Six Sigma methodologies, and essential software tools like MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrate strong communication, coaching, planning, and report-writing skills
  • Have proven experience mentoring individuals and groups, including senior management
