Job Description
Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Project ExecutionPlan, supervise, and execute all mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems as per project specifications.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure smooth project delivery.Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion as per the project schedule.Site ManagementLead site teams and subcontractors to execute work in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical issues.Ensure installation is done according to approved drawings and standards.
Procurement & Materials Review BOQs and prepare material requirement schedules.
Coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of materials.
Inspect and verify the quality of materials delivered to the site.Testing & CommissioningSupervise and coordinate testing and commissioning of all mechanical systems.
Ensure systems operate correctly and meet performance requirements.
Prepare and review T&C reports and final documentation for handover.Quality & Safety ComplianceEnsure adherence to project quality plans and HSE requirements.
Implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
Participate in quality audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10- 12 years of relevant experience in MEP projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
Familiar with local/international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.)Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, and MS Office
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
