We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer for Fire Fighting Systems. In this role, you will play a vital part in the planning, execution, and completion of fire protection projects, working across commercial, industrial, and residential environments. The ideal candidate will have solid technical expertise in mechanical fire fighting systems coupled with strong project management and coordination abilities.
Key Responsibilities – Fire Fighting System Project Management And Delivery
Lead the end-to-end execution of fire fighting system projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
Coordinate project activities between internal engineering, site, procurement, and installation teams for timely and efficient project delivery.
Oversee site installation works, including supervision of subcontractors and technicians, to maintain high installation quality and adherence to project plans.
Review and interpret technical drawings, fire safety codes (NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, or equivalent), and project documentation to guide site operations.
Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental standards and proactively address any site safety concerns regarding fire protection systems.
Track project progress, update schedules, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure milestone achievement and project completion on time and within budget.
Maintain thorough project records, including material submittals, reports, test certificates, and as-built documentation.
Provide technical guidance to clients, main contractors, and all project stakeholders from inception to handover and commissioning.
Required Skills – Mechanical Engineering, Project Coordination, And Fire Safety
Sound mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience in fire fighting system design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Excellent project planning abilities, with proficiency in scheduling tools and project tracking systems.
Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards related to fire protection (e.g. NFPA, local fire codes).
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse client groups.
Demonstrated proficiency in preparing technical reports, review of shop drawings, and quality documentation.
Advanced user of MS Office and relevant engineering or project management software.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a closely related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in project engineering or site management within the fire fighting, building services, or MEP industry.
