Your Role: Controls Project Engineer (BMS / HVAC Systems)

As a Controls Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective administration and management of controls and building automation projects — from inception to handover — ensuring compliance with Carrier’s Ethics & Compliance, EH&S Policy, Quality Management System, and Approval Matrix.

You will oversee project execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, coordinating with internal teams, field technicians, and clients to deliver high-quality, on-time, and within-budget results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure field technicians and subcontractors adhere to Carrier’s safety guidelines and site rules.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders on project status.
  • Conduct project transition meetings and manage the sales-to-operations handover process.
  • Prepare technical submittals, drawings, and other project documentation according to project scope.
  • Follow up with consultants for timely submittal approvals.
  • Create purchase requests and coordinate procurement with suppliers and factories.
  • Track material deliveries and ensure timely availability at project sites.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with customers.
  • Work with the sales team to manage milestone billings and payment collections.
  • Forecast and achieve monthly sales and booking targets.
  • Supervise site activities, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Schedule technicians for Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and service visits.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings for sales review, backlog, aging, and collection.
  • Review monthly backlog reports to ensure accurate project tracking and forecasting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in the HVAC Controls, BMS, or Chiller Plant Manager domain.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC Controls/BMS products, Total Quality Management, and ISO processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and computer skills.
  • Team player with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working experience with Automated Logic Controls (ALC) systems will be an added advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage).
  • Strong customer focus and relationship management skills.
  • Effective analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all employees and continuously enhancing them to meet evolving needs.

  • Comprehensive health insurance for peace of mind.
  • Flexible schedules, parental leave, and a holiday purchase scheme to support work-life balance.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Employee Assistance Programme to help you achieve personal and professional goals.
