Job Summary
We are seeking a
Project Coordinator to support the design and documentation of architectural projects across multiple phases. This role contributes to the preparation of construction documents, coordination with consultants, and implementation of design intent while working closely with Project Managers and Job Captains. The ideal candidate is technically strong in Revit, highly organized, and motivated to grow within a collaborative architectural team.
This position is located in HMC’s
San Diego, California office. The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate design and construction documents under the direction of a Project Manager
- Support Job Captains and Project Managers with team coordination, task delegation, and documentation needs
- Develop and maintain Revit models, including 3D modeling and drawing production
- Coordinate drawings and information with consultants to identify and resolve conflicts
- Assist with meeting minutes, RFIs, instruction bulletins, and professional correspondence
- Support the design team by ensuring design intent is carried through all project phases
- Assist in material and product research and coordination with the Specifications Writer
- Participate in office design charrettes and, at times, assist in design development
- Apply building code concepts including accessibility, life safety, and basic construction systems
- Support construction administration activities, including submittal and shop drawing reviews
- Manage assigned tasks within agreed-upon schedules and budgeted hours
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and alignment with HMC workplace values
Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture or equivalent demonstrated proficiency
- Minimum 3 years of experience drafting architectural drawings in Revit
- Proficiency in Revit on an enterprise platform, including drawing setup, modeling, plotting, and file coordination
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, and other design or multimedia software
- Understanding of construction documents, building codes, and basic building systems
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, and vendors
- Motivation to take on new responsibilities and grow professionally
The salary range for this position is $25.41 - $35.73/hour ($52,858 - $74,314).
The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate’s qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
