The job holder is expected to provide operational day-to-day support within the well intervention portfolio of products. The job holder will be expected to work on a wide variety of equipment design, from the Well Intervention services, ranging from pressure control, skid based hydraulics and transportation frames, downhole tools, and ancillaries as required.
Ensuring activities are escalated / planned in accordance with availability in the engineering and manufacturing groups. A key aspect is ensuring delivery of ideas from the conceptual/contract stage to the wider Engineering team to deliver the final design / product. The job holder will be expected to perform effective sustaining, project support activities acting as a liaison between shopfloor activities and engineering. To be able to work effectively under pressure and with the minimum of supervision.
The job holder must be able to make appropriate engineering decisions ensuring that quality and reliability of the product meets customer needs and/or industry/company standards.
Key Responsiblities:
Supporting Sustaining/Live Sales Order projects including project activities such as creation of test plans/reports, operating/maintenance manuals and testing.
Inputting to specifications as required, and ensuring a full specification is available and understood prior to commencing work
Non-conformance disposition / escalation.
Supporting manufacturing and operational activities, including engineering change management.
Assisting with regulatory submission and Certification Files and other documentation as required.
Taking projects/orders from the concept/contract stage and communicating requirements to the wider team. Participate in field trials and including design verification, evaluation and validation.
Assisting with hands-on work during assembly and testing of prototype or new designs
Supporting Field Testing
Producing the relevant supporting documentation to ensure completion of deliverables
Understanding Hunting’s service and product offerings
Supporting and promoting continuous improvement in engineering process and standards
Providing cover and support to the department as and when needed.
Promoting Hunting Health and Safety policies, and communicate effective awareness of the risks and hazards to all personnel and maintain controls necessary for their safety and that of others
Performing all duties in accordance with the Company’s Quality Procedures and work Instructions in order to deliver and maintain the highest standards of quality for all products and services
Developing self within role and participate in and develop from training and developmental activities assigned to oneself
Ad hoc duties as reasonably required from time to time.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, supported by demonstrable experience in the Oil and Gas Manufacturing sector.
Experience in the design/engineering of oilfield products relating to the product line (including hands on) as well as having solid knowledge in API / DNV and NACE standards.
Competency in 3D sketching, engineering design and mathematical modelling
Knowledge of oilfield engineering materials and experience in the manufacture and assembly of appropriate equipments.
Demonstrating a knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes to ensure equipment/products are designed for efficient manufacture
Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
Good people skills such as effective communication, and the ability to coach indirect reports.
Full Driving Licence
Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
