The Product Manager - Data Center Colocation is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the company’s colocation portfolio, including standard colocation, AI-ready colocation, and associated managed and advisory services. This role drives product strategy, commercial performance, and go-to-market execution across a matrix organization that includes data-center operations, sales, finance, technology partners, and system integrators. The ideal candidate combines strong product management discipline, data-center domain expertise, and a commercial mindset to scale a differentiated, revenue-generating colocation business.
Main Responsibilities
Core duty description: Own and optimize the colocation product portfolio to drive revenue growth and align with market needs.
Own the colocation product portfolio across its full lifecycle, from concept and launch to optimization and retirement.
Define product strategy, roadmap, and service packaging aligned to market demand, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Translate customer and market insights into clear, differentiated product offerings, including AI-ready colocation and premium services.
Develop and own business cases, pricing models, and margin structures for colocation products.
Drive revenue growth, utilization, and profitability, including managed-services attach rates.
Partner with finance and sales and pre-sales to ensure commercial discipline, predictable revenue, and scalable unit economics.
Define go-to-market strategies by industry vertical and customer segment.
Create sales enablement assets, value propositions, and positioning for enterprise and government customers.
Support strategic deals and customer engagements, acting as the product authority for colocation solutions.
Work closely with data-center operations to align product design with operational reality.
Collaborate with technology partners, OEMs, and system integrators to build integrated solutions.
Track market trends, AI workload requirements, and competitive offerings.
Continuously refine the portfolio to maintain differentiation vs hyperscalers, private cloud, and on-premise alternatives.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
8–12+ years of experience in product management, preferably within data centers and colocation.
Proven experience owning revenue-generating B2B products with clear P&L accountability.
Strong understanding of data-center economics - power, cooling, density, utilization, and cost drivers.
Solid knowledge of colocation architectures, AI-ready infrastructure, and high-density workloads.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to Have
MBA preferred.
Familiarity with private cloud and managed services.
