Job Description

The role of a Procurement Specialist is integral to the efficient operation of our supply chain and procurement processes. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, managing and obtaining products and services essential for our company’s operations. You will develop partnerships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that purchases are cost-effective and of high quality. Your analytical skills and keen attention to detail will be paramount in evaluating product quality, trends, and market dynamics. You will also work collaboratively across various departments to make timely and informed purchasing decisions that align with our strategic goals and operational needs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers for better terms.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate changes in demand and pricing.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and monitor compliance with contract terms.
  • Review product quality to maintain high procurement standards.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for budgetary approvals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports for management review.
  • Streamline internal processes to maintain a cost-saving procurement environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requisitions and requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build solid supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
