Job Description

As a Procurement Officer at our dynamic organization, you will be at the forefront of our supply chain operations, ensuring that our goods and services are procured in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Your main responsibility will involve the management of our company’s procurement activities, including sourcing high-quality products, negotiating with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to secure favorable contract terms. You will work in close collaboration with our internal departments to understand their procurement needs and align them with the organizational goals. With a strong focus on compliance and cost management, you'll ensure our procurement procedures adhere to industry standards and legal requirements, contributing significantly to the operational success of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to attain the best possible terms and prices.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ascertain their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement activities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement activity, costs, and supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain process.
  • Oversee the procurement budget to ensure expenditures align with financial goals.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and products.
  • Oversee and support the procurement team, providing guidance and training as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role is required.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
