Build a new procurement function from the ground up
Exposure to global upstream supplier market

About Our Client

The client is a leading oil field services and equipment organisation supporting upstream oil and gas operations across Africa. They are establishing a centralised procurement hub in Dubai to drive sourcing activities, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support regional operations alongside a global vendor base.

Job Description

Lead end-to-end procurement across either "Subsurface" or "Surface / Infrastructure" categories
Manage sourcing processes including RFQs, RFPs, contract negotiation, and execution
Build and manage supplier relationships across Africa, UAE, Europe, Asia, and the US
Support development of procurement policies, category strategies, and vendor frameworks
Oversee purchase order lifecycle and coordinate logistics for cross-border delivery
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business needs

The Successful Applicant

8 to 17 years of procurement experience within upstream oil and gas or oilfield services
Deep expertise in either "Subsurface" or "Surface / Infrastructure" category procurement
Experience working with OFSE suppliers for "Subsurface" or EPC contractors for "Surface / Infrastructure"
Strong track record in contract negotiation and supplier management
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, build-phase environment
