Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the automotive sector’s unique needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and delivery.

  • Conduct market analysis to determine current trends and anticipate future commodity price fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to source new materials and alternative suppliers.
  • Coordinate with the production department to ensure timely and efficient supply of components.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders to replenish stock as required.
  • Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Prepare procurement reports and forecasts to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Facilitate the resolution of any quality or delivery issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of spend analysis and contract negotiations to support audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of automotive components, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems for effective data management.
  • Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
