Job Description

The Procurement Executive plays a critical role within an organization, responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and supply chain activities. Positioned usually within the operations or finance department, this professional is tasked with developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies and driving efficiency in purchasing activities. The Procurement Executive is at the helm of negotiating contracts, ensuring the best possible terms for quality and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to streamline purchasing activities.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best possible terms and prices.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and timelines.
  • Build strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure supply continuity and quality assurance.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Oversee and manage the overall budget for procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct research to learn about market trends and potential suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws pertaining to procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important procurement data.
  • Lead and manage a team to optimize the procure-to-pay process.
  • Report on procurement performance, highlighting savings and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Executive or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Excellent analytical skills to forecast and strategize procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
