Job Description

The role of a Procurement Executive is crucial in ensuring that an organization secures the best possible resources at the most competitive prices. As a Procurement Executive, you will manage and lead procurement processes, develop strong relationships with suppliers, and ensure the timely availability of materials required for business operations. Your strategic role will involve negotiating contracts, forecasting supply demands, and optimizing the cost and quality of supplies. You will work closely with various departments to determine their material needs and act as a liaison between your organization and suppliers. This role requires excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills, and an ability to adapt to changing market conditions in order to meet the company's purchasing goals effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the organization.
  • Maintain and develop strong, fruitful relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Coordinate with departments to forecast the demand for materials and products.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods by managing logistics and supply chain processes efficiently.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and ensure financial compliance in purchasing.
  • Identify and source new suppliers to diversify supplier base and mitigate risks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in procurement practices and supplier engagement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Develop procurement policies and procedures to standardize and streamline procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Executive or in a similar role within the industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective supplier relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret business information and reports.
  • A strong commitment to ethical standards and integrity in procurement processes.
