Job Description

As a Procurement Executive, you will be at the heart of our supply chain operations, tasked with ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services that support the company's operational needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and excellent negotiation skills. You will liaise with suppliers, manage contracts, and ensure that procurement protocols align with the company's policies and financial goals. Your capacity to perform market research, evaluate supplier proposals, and contribute to cost-saving strategies will be paramount. With an emphasis on quality control and efficiency, you will provide support and solutions that drive productivity and enhance overall performance.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and markets for goods.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential procurement data.
  • Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure that delivery schedules are met and liaise with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Review supplier performance and report on quality, cost, and timelines for delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships to maximize the value of supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and fulfill auditing requirements.
  • Implement and improve procurement strategies that drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure prompt payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Executive or similar role in the industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess and optimize the procurement processes.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of market research and supplier evaluation techniques.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with contract management and supplier relationship management is preferred.
