Procurement Engineer

Aya Construction is looking for a motivated and focused Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team, where the focus is on sourcing materials, subcontractors, and services necessary for construction projects, and ensuring their timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities in line with project schedules and budget.
• Review technical specifications and project requirements to identify material and service needs.
• Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation), evaluate vendor proposals, and perform technical and commercial analysis.
• Source and evaluate suppliers/subcontractors for quality, cost, and delivery reliability.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and delivery.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to track material requirements.
• Manage logistics, customs, and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive at site as needed.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for procurement during bid stages.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new suppliers to make informed procurement decisions.
• Prepare reports and data analysis related to procurement activities for management review.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and procurement software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with legal and ethical procurement practices.
• Prepare reports and data analysis related to procurement activities for management review.
