Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage department resources to meet and not exceed budget.
- Lead product and process launches, working with global and local multidisciplinary teams, for the correct development and validation.
- Communicates the organizations vision to guide product development.
- Evaluate the statistics and results of your product launch. This way, you can make changes to optimize results or plan new strategies that will improve future success.
- Provides technical information for process and tool engineering for the Operations and Development groups.
- Manages product developments, new materials, suppliers and/or changes based on the needs of the organization, to ensure business continuity and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Develops and implements production/processing methods and controls to provide significant improvement to Operations through reductions to expense or increases in factory output.
- Contributes resourcing, ideas, and analysis of programs to provide added value to operations
- Adherence of Gates code of conduct & ethics. Shall set an example as a role model for his team in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and work habits.
- To maintain and improve the 5S standards in his area of work and in work zones for which he is assigned ownership.
- To ensure compliance of HSE standards as stated in the policy in his area of work. As a responsible employee of the organization, he has to bring to the attention of the safety committee any unsafe practice/working conditions in the facility, in external warehouses
- Ensuring that the vendors also have good HSE practices, comply with all statuary requirements and do not employee child labor.
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- Bachelors in Engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in same industry.
- Experience in equipment specification, design, and integration for new and existing processes; experience with various industrial control systems and a basic understanding of machine control concepts strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to handle multiple activities concurrently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial concepts as they related to manufacturing operations expenses.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be capable of presenting project information in front of all levels of the organization.
- Excellent project management skills, including execution and follow up assessment
- Results oriented, seeks creative solutions to business problems
- Proven ability to lead cross functional and cross-cultural teams, especially across international factories.
- Proficient project management and engineering related skills including but not limited to:
- Desktop Publishing
- Project Management Programs (Microsoft Project)
- Statistical process control
- Time Management/Resource Planning
- Strong team player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships
