About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Principle HVAC Technician to join the resort’s Staff Housing Engineering team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Supervise and support HVAC technicians in the maintenance and repair of FCUs, AHUs, chillers, split units, ventilation systems, and related components.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of HVAC infrastructure to identify faults, inefficiencies, or performance issues.
  • Ensure timely response to HVAC complaints, breakdowns, and emergency service requests.
  • Develop and manage PPM schedules for all HVAC systems and assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all tasks are logged and updated in the CMMS (Maximo).
  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Prepare and manage technician rosters to ensure full coverage across all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and toolbox talks to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping, Front Office, Electrical, Civil, ELV, and Horticulture teams to ensure seamless HVAC support across the facility.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for outsourced HVAC services or specialized repairs.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and respond to operational priorities as directed by the Manager – Engineering & Facilities.
  • Ensure all HVAC maintenance activities comply with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and internal SOPs.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and emergency response planning.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or certification in HVAC systems or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in HVAC maintenance within large-scale residential or staff housing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC components, control systems, and energy efficiency principles.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, riser diagrams, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo) and digital reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
