About The Community

Jack River School is a Nursery to Grade 8 school with 500 students. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus and daily air service.

• Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
• Masters degree in education/administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset
• At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administrative experience
• Previous success with development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans
• A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
• Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
