About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Transport Planning and Mobility Engineer to lead and deliver complex transport planning and mobility projects in Dubai and the wider GCC region. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a deep understanding of sustainable and smart mobility solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of multi-modal transport and mobility projects.
  • Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets across various stages of planning.
  • Develop and review transport models, mobility strategies, masterplans, and impact assessments.
  • Provide technical input on transport policy, active mobility, transit-oriented development, and smart city initiatives.
  • Engage with government authorities, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts.
  • Prepare and present high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PHD in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in delivering complex transport and mobility projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Western country (e.g., UK, Europe, North America, Australia/New Zealand) is highly desirable, but not essential, to bring innovative thinking, international best practices, and new approaches to transport and mobility challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to strategic planning and urban mobility initiatives.
  • Proficiency in transport modelling tools (e.g., VISUM, VISSIM, Aimsun, Cube, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of sustainable transport, active mobility, and smart city integration.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
  • Previous experience in the GCC is an advantage but not essential.
