Job Description

Principal Highway Design Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Highway Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will get to design & manage a Highway team to develop large highway & infrastructure projects. The role will require an extensive understanding of road, civil, and infrastructure standards, the application of best engineering practices, and adherence to Parsons high-quality standards. The candidate shall have the confidence to resolve challenging geometric constraints, consider value engineering enhancements across all project aspects, and coordinate with internal and external departments.

What Youll Be Doing

• Oversee the engineering team, leading and reviewing ongoing project work.
• Responsible for developing and checking engineering drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Supporting the Design Manager with engineering task assignments.
• Support Proposal Managers.
• Daily routine overview of project deliverables.
• Conducting engineering reviews.
• Developing highway schemes, checking key geometric elements.
• Coordinating deliverables with CAD and BIM teams.
• Resource management.
• Report writing.
  
  
  

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from a reputable university.
• .Minimum 13 years of experience in major highway design projects
• Excellent Design knowledge of local (UAE) and international standards.
• Presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and report writing skills
• Proficient in Design Software skills - Civil 3D, Bentley Inroads / Openroads.
