The Role

We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Civil to lead the design and delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects across the UAE. This role will focus on drainage, stormwater management, flood risk, utilities, and urban infrastructure design, supporting projects from concept through to construction.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer with experience in multidisciplinary environments and a proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil design delivery across multiple infrastructure and urban development projects
• Provide technical expertise in drainage, stormwater, flood risk, earthworks, and highway design
• Oversee preparation of design reports, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings
• Manage multidisciplinary coordination across utilities, transport, and environmental teams
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements and international standards
• Act as a key client interface, managing expectations and delivering high-quality outcomes
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level engineers within the team
• Support project planning, resource management, and commercial performance
• Contribute to bid preparation and business development initiatives
  
  
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in civil and infrastructure design consultancy
• Strong understanding of authority standards and approval processes in the UAE
• Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination
  
  
  

Strong Expertise In

• Stormwater drainage design and modelling
• Flood risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• SuDS and sustainable infrastructure solutions
• Earthworks, grading, and highway design
• Utilities coordination at masterplanning and detailed design stages
• Experience delivering projects from concept to construction stage
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience
• Previous experience in the UAE or the Middle East is highly preferred
• Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, MICE) is an advantage
