Job Description Planning Engineer

This is a full-time, on-site Planning Engineer role based in Dubai. The Planning Engineer will develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate production planning activities, and align resource allocation with project milestones. The role involves monitoring project progress, preparing reports, analyzing performance data, and supporting project control processes to identify risks and recommend corrective actions. The Planning Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication, timely updates, and compliance with project timelines and requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills to develop schedules and optimize resource utilization.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Project Control capabilities to track performance, manage risks, and support decision-making.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present clear project status updates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with experience in project planning within industrial, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera p6) and standard office software.
• 5-8 years in construction Industry.
• Advantage if you have DM License
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to time and task management.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate in a multicultural environment; prior regional experience is an advantage.
• Created CSI-coded baseline schedules in compliance with international standards for annual cash flow planning.
• Managed project schedule updates to reflect actual progress and forecast future performance.
• Delivered comprehensive progress reports (monthly, weekly, dashboards) to track and communicate project status.
•  Produced look-ahead schedules and target reports to ensure proactive planning of upcoming activities.
• Supervised on-site activity progress to ensure alignment with scheduled targets and timelines.
•  Analyzed subcontractor performance using KPIs to ensure efficiency and contract compliance.
• Generated internal monthly project control reports, aligned with the approved baseline, highlighting critical issues and providing strategic analysis to the Project Manager and senior management staff.
