Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing project plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Analyze project requirements and constraints to create realistic timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project information and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and management
  • Utilize planning software to create, update, and maintain project schedules
  • Conduct resource analysis and optimization to ensure efficient utilization
  • Coordinate with project managers and team members to resolve scheduling conflicts and issues
  • Perform earned value analysis and provide recommendations for performance improvement
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and local regulations to ensure compliance in project planning

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification
  • Proficiency in planning software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in transportation projects is preferred
  • Understanding of planning frameworks and collaboration processes
  • Project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of local regulations and standards in Dubai
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
