Job Description

A Planning Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction and engineering sectors by ensuring that projects are well organized, efficient, and on schedule. Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining steps, resources, and timelines required.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure project tasks align with timelines.
  • Monitor and track project progress to identify any potential delays.
  • Provide detailed reports on project status to project stakeholders regularly.
  • Analyze project-related data to ensure all aspects adhere to set budgets.
  • Utilize project management software to track project phases and schedules.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure project feasibility.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend proactive solutions to avoid delays.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference and audits.
  • Adjust project plans and schedules as needed to accommodate changing conditions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and implement best practice standards for project planning processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in project planning or engineering role.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying project risks.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate stakeholder and team interactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of construction processes and engineering principles is essential.
