Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead supply planning, inventory management, and resource management in the regional distribution center for all in scope Countries. or local Sales organization
Each day, you will drive planning and fulfillment initiatives to improve customer on-time delivery and lead time. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring adherence to inventory and supply plan.
The work model for the role is: {onsite}
This role is contributing to the {Electrification} in {UAE}. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Responsible for a team of supply & demand planners ( P&F ).
- Accountable for end-to-end on-time delivery, inventory level /DIH (immobilized cash flow), revenue maximization
- Provides visibility of supply capacity and local supply objectives into the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Subject matter expert in SAP demand & supply planning tools (forecasting + MRP)
- Establishes and maintains inventory management processes for finished goods in line with company guidelines.
- Supports the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with business functions and Supply units (feeder factories).
- Leads regular discussions with Supply units on inbound issues, planning parameters, reverse logistics, etc.
- Leads/contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead time, inventory, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.
- Utilizes lean six sigma tools whenever applicable. (Data driven approach)
- Provides local leadership for the development of best practices in planning systems and integrated ERPs.
- Ensure all staff (under scope) understand ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
- Promote teamwork within team/RDC and all stakeholders
Qualifications For The Role
- 5-7+ years of experience in a similar managerial role
- Outstanding analytical skills (Statistical approach) using MS excel, Power BI etc
- Forecasting & supply planning tools (preferably APO, Anaplan)
- Strong knowledge of supply flows: ROW to ME
- Strong exposure to ground logistics (warehousing + transportation)
- Team management skills
- Capability to perform under constrained environment (Business continuity plan, contingency plans)
- Ability to provide reports, analysis on ongoing basis as well as monitoring of data/reports proactively to enhance predictability
- Able to provide data/presentation regularly on specified timeline for internal reviews to support ComOps management
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar
