Marsh is seeking a Placement Broker to join its Construction Practice team based in the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC). The role supports the placement and servicing of complex construction insurance programs across the IMEA region, covering sectors such as civil infrastructure, petrochemical, energy, and power.
Working closely with clients, insurers, reinsurers, and internal subject matter experts, the Placement Broker will design and place insurance solutions, negotiate optimal coverage terms, analyze client portfolios, and deliver market-leading service. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with construction risk experience and strong market-facing capabilities.
Broking & Placement
- Support the design and placement of insurance and reinsurance programs for large and complex construction projects.
- Manage placements across Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), Delay in Start-Up (DSU), Third-Party Liability (TPL), and related construction insurance products.
- Obtain, analyze, and compare coverage terms from insurers and reinsurers, preparing placement recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in presenting insurance solutions and coverage options to clients and advisors.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and capacity support with insurers and reinsurers to secure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance markets and ensure timely completion of placement activities.
- Monitor market trends, underwriting appetite, and emerging industry developments.
- Ensure all broking activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Client Servicing & Portfolio Management
- Support senior leadership in managing and servicing client portfolios.
- Respond to RFP requests in line with the market conditions and appetite.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, insurers, reinsurers, and key decision-makers.
- Understand client risk profiles and provide tailored insurance solutions aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to renewal strategies, client presentations, and new business opportunities.
- Monitor account performance, including payments, collections, and policy administration.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of quotations, premium calculations, policy documentation, certificates, invoices, and policy accounting records.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience within insurance, reinsurance, broking, or market management environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Engineering, Risk Management, Business, Marketing or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, preferably CAR, EAR, DSU, TPL, and related lines.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with insurers, reinsurers, and clients.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
- ACII qualification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Willingness to travel across the IMEA region as required.
