We are searching for a reliable and punctual Pickup Driver to safely transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and an in-depth knowledge of driving regulations. As a Pickup Driver, you will be responsible for the safe handling and delivery of company goods, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and providing top-notch customer service. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential. You will play a key role in maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability and efficiency, contributing to our daily operational success. In addition to driving assignments, the Pickup Driver will be expected to assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and shipments to various destinations safely and on time.
• Maintain a clean and operational vehicle at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and routes.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel expenditures.
• Provide friendly and courteous customer service during all interactions.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Manage delivery documentation and secure signatures when required.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and update clients on delivery status.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role in logistics.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Strong time-management skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers and colleagues.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance to inform necessary repairs promptly.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional certifications a plus.
