Role Overview

The Physiotherapist will provide expert assessment, clinical intervention, and ongoing rehabilitation services to children with diverse physical and developmental needs. They will work closely with therapists, families, and other professionals to design and deliver effective programs that improve mobility, function, and quality of life. The role is essential in ensuring that therapy services are safe, engaging, and aligned with best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, including physical examination, mobility analysis, and functional evaluation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect client goals and clinical findings.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions (e.g., manual therapy, posture and gait training, therapeutic exercises) in line with current evidence-based practice.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate families and caregivers on home programs, therapeutic strategies, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with DHA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (e.g., occupational therapists, speech therapists, educators) to support holistic care.

Required Experience & Skills

Professional Licensing:

• Holding a valid DHA license is mandatory to practice.
• Malpractice Insurance is mandatory.
• Maintaining your professional body registration.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Valid DHA Physiotherapist License or eligibility to obtain one (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience post-qualification in paediatric, musculoskeletal, or neurological physiotherapy practice.
• Additional CPD certification that further secure expertise is desirable (e.g. courses in neurodevelopmental approaches etc.)
